Visibility search criteria

The visibility section of the Find window contains two options for controlling whether searches find items which are normally hidden in the Finder.

If these criteria are not available (that is, not visible in the window), searches will only return items normally visible in the Finder. That means invisible items and items inside packages are not found.

This criterion determines if and how item visibility is used in searches. Searches based on visibility respect both the Finder's visible flag and the initial period used in names to denote that an item should be invisible.

If the box next to this option is checked, only items having the requested visibility will be found.
If the box is not checked, visibility is not considered in the search, so both visible and invisible items can be found.

Search in packages

If you want File Buddy to search inside bundled applications, document packages such as RTFD documents, and plug-ins, check this box.
